The Mission 778X maintains the influence of simplistic operation, large tactile controls, and a multitude of inputs. It’s a compact, ’80s inspired integrated amplifier that is fully equipped to meet the demands of modern music lovers, from vinyl fans to digital streamers. Modern twists, such as LED level indicators and all-encompassing connectivity options, make the 778X a truly contemporary integrated amplifier. Boasting a genuine 65 watts (@4 ohms) of power via an utterly modern and refined signal path, to standards akin to the exemplary standards to which Mission loudspeakers are developed.

Key Features:

  • 45 watts @8 ohms, 65 watts @4 ohms
  • 2 x Auxiliary RCA inputs
  • 2 x Optical, 1 x Coaxial, 1 x USB Digital Inputs
  • Bluetooth 5.0 (aptX / AAC) Support
  • 1 x MM Phono Stage
  • 1 x Headphone Output

Phono Stage

The phono stage features a JFET-based circuit with accurate RIAA equalisation, optimised for MM cartridges. This results in a high-quality, low-noise input that negates the need for an extra phono preamp.

In addition to standard RCA line inputs, the 778X includes digital and coaxial connections, along with a built-in Bluetooth receiver supporting aptX and AAC codecs. This means you can enjoy CD-quality sound wirelessly, making streaming music from devices like smartphones, tablets, or PCs better than ever.

DAC Excellence

But that’s not all when it comes to digital music capabilities. The 778X also boasts a high-performance ESS ES9018K2M Reference chip, featuring a 32-bit HyperStream architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator. This ensures class-leading, ultra-low noise performance for digital audio files, supporting a sampling rate of up to 384kHz (PCM) and more.

Headphone Stage

Matching the quality of standalone headphone amplifiers, the headphone stage is designed with high-speed output signal transitions due to its impressive slew rate. This results in a dynamic, detailed, and immersive audio experience, compatible with a wide range of headphone types.

A Labour of Love

The Mission 778X ’s all round performance is engaging, detailed and refined. Detail, timing and dynamics excel, regardless of source or medium. Designed for the modern-day music enthusiast with a nod to our heritage,

the Mission 778X does not discriminate when it comes to expression and enjoyment of your music reproduction.
