Luxman L-509Z Integrated Amplifier

The L-509Z showcases the latest advancements in amplification technology. This amplifier employs our new generation amplification feedback engine, LIFES (Luxman Integrated Feedback Engine System), in both the preamplifier and power amplifier sections, resulting in unparalleled performance. The LECUA-EX (Luxman Electronically Controlled Ultimate Attenuator - Excellent eXperience) attenuator system supports the volume control, preventing sound quality degradation and providing a more precise operation. Additionally, the L-509Z's "single-chassis separates" design achieves an unprecedented level of audio performance, making it the ultimate integrated amplifier. The L-509Z is a pre-main amplifier from Luxman that utilises the unique "ODNF" (Only Distortion Negative Feedback) amplification circuitry and independent LIFES modules to achieve exceptional sound quality and unprecedented detail. It features three-stage Darlington bipolar transistors in quadruple-paralleled push-pull configuration, delivering outstanding output power and near-perfect power linearity performance. The L-509Z develops 120W+120W at 8 ohms and 220W+220W at 4 ohms, making it an excellent choice for music enthusiasts looking for a high-fidelity audio experience.

The L-509Z features a highly precise rotary encoder and a weighted rotation mechanism for its volume control system, which offers even greater precision and a natural, high-quality operational feel. The LECUA attenuator system switches through a series of high-quality, fixed-value resistors for each channel independently, ensuring precise control over the voltage attenuation while maintaining the quality of the input source. With 88 fine steps from 0 to 87dB, acceleration and long-press settings, the L-509Z provides comfortable and thorough volume control with minimal degradation in sound quality.

Highly regulated power supply

The L-509Z from Luxman comes with a highly stable power supply circuitry that has been a traditional feature of Luxman products. The system includes a bespoke and highly regulated 600VA El transformer and newly developed large-capacity filter capacitors (10,000μFx 8), ensuring stable and reliable power supply.

High-quality phono EQ

A built-in high-quality phono equaliser circuit that supports both MM and MC cartridges. The circuit also includes a new two-step gain switch that allows for the selection of high and low MC settings, accommodating a wider range of MC cartridges and enhancing the quality of vinyl playback in terms of both operation and sound quality. The front panel now includes a mute button for added convenience.

3-band tone control

A new Middle control has been designed to enhance the vocal and lead instrument frequencies bandwidth, in addition to the Bass and Treble controls. LR balance, line straight, and loudness controls all easily accessible at your fingertips to allow you to fine-tune your audio settings for an ultimate listening experience.

We endeavour to despatch same day for orders placed up to 1pm on available stock items (items with stock message "Usually dispatched within 24 hours"). Please remember to check with us first for a physical stock check if next day delivery is important to you. Any items with stock message "Usually dispatched within 72 hours" are items that we do not hold in stock but order in from the importer or manufacturer as soon as a customer order is received. Occasionally these may be delayed beyond 72 hours due to importer/manufacturer stock levels but we will inform you as soon as we can if this is the case.

UK Orders

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service – Free of Charge. Non Mainland locations - Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer and are not Free of Charge. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as DPD or UPS.

International Orders

Due to the nature of our products and brand restrictions we are only able to send certain items internationally. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail Small Packets Airmail with International Tracked and/or Signed depending on value of item and availability of the service. Larger International shipments are sent by insured and tracked services using UPS. If there are any delays due to specific customs regulations, etc, you will be contacted by Hifisound or by the courier with a request for any further information required. Customs duties can apply for shipments to any countries outside of the UK depending on where the product you have bought is made. Customers are responsible for all taxes and duties incurred when the items enter their country.

Collect in Store or Home Install

At the request of the manufacturer some items cannot be supplied by mail order but you can click and buy them and then elect to collect them from our store or arrange a home install (if applicable). Applicable items clearly state that they are Collect in store or home install. Once ordered you will receive a message prompting you to contact us by phone or email to arrange for us to deliver and install or to reserve and collect from our store at your convenience, you will also be advised of the delivery time / stock availability as not all Home install / collect in store items are held in stock.
