Fully Discrete Power Architecture: The Son of TITAN

The M6xi is engineered as two independent monoblock power amplifiers and a separate preamplifier housed within a single, heavy-duty chassis. This configuration utilises technology trickled down from our flagship 1kW TITAN, ensuring exceptional stability and musical authority. To further enhance performance, the main transformer and power supply are encapsulated in a metal enclosure, which dramatically reduces electromagnetic interference and benefits every circuit in the amplifier.

High-Performance Power Amplification

At its core, the M6xi employs a low-distortion Darlington output stage that eliminates crossover artefacts and preserves tonal accuracy. With a massive output of 220 watts into 8 ohms and 320 watts into 4 ohms, the amplifier possesses the current capability to drive demanding loudspeakers with absolute composure. The internal PCB layout is meticulously optimised to minimise circuit imbalances naturally, allowing the amplifier to operate with greater transparency and less reliance on corrective feedback.

Precision Preamplification and Phono Stage

The fully analogue preamplifier stage is designed for absolute signal integrity. Rather than a conventional potentiometer, the M6xi uses a high-quality Burr-Brown stepped attenuator, offering superior channel matching and a stable soundstage at any volume level. The upgraded MM/MC phono section also receives significant refinements; improved shielding and circuit optimisation deliver lower noise and greater vinyl transparency, allowing the amplifier to reveal the full depth of high-quality recordings.

Intelligent Digital Isolation

Digital and analogue hardware are strictly separated to prevent RF interference from compromising the audio signal. The digital and ARC boards are physically isolated on their own PCBs and supported by a dedicated linear power supply. The coaxial, optical, and USB-C inputs accept high-resolution rates up to 24-bit/192kHz, while the HDMI eARC input allows your home theatre to be invigorated by the amplifier's powerful analogue stages.

Versatile Connectivity and Streamer Support

The M6xi offers 4x RCA inputs and 1x balanced XLR input, alongside a dedicated Home Theatre bypass for seamless integration into multichannel systems. A standout feature is the new 5V/2A USB-A power output, which features its own separate transformer winding and linear power supply. This allows you to power modern streamers directly from the amplifier, effectively acting as a clean power upgrade for your digital source while simplifying your system setup.

Heroic Build Quality

The mechanical construction of the M6xi is uncompromisingly rigid, featuring a front and side panel milled from massive extruded aluminium profiles. This heavy-duty casing makes the amplifier nearly immune to mechanical vibrations and acts as a Faraday cage, shielding the internals from outer electromagnetic fields and protecting your other Hi-Fi gear from interference.

New Universal Remote

Every M6xi comes with a redesigned remote control that is lightweight, ergonomic, and finished in the distinctive Musical Fidelity brand colors. This controller is designed for universal compatibility across the entire M-line, giving you effortless command over your amplifier, CD player, and DAC from a single, elegant device.

We endeavour to despatch same day for orders placed up to 1pm on available stock items (items with stock message "Usually dispatched within 24 hours"). Please remember to check with us first for a physical stock check if next day delivery is important to you. Any items with stock message "Usually dispatched within 72 hours" are items that we do not hold in stock but order in from the importer or manufacturer as soon as a customer order is received. Occasionally these may be delayed beyond 72 hours due to importer/manufacturer stock levels but we will inform you as soon as we can if this is the case.

UK Orders

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service – Free of Charge. Non Mainland locations - Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer and are not Free of Charge. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as DPD or UPS.

International Orders

Due to the nature of our products and brand restrictions we are only able to send certain items internationally. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail Small Packets Airmail with International Tracked and/or Signed depending on value of item and availability of the service. Larger International shipments are sent by insured and tracked services using UPS. If there are any delays due to specific customs regulations, etc, you will be contacted by Hifisound or by the courier with a request for any further information required. Customs duties can apply for shipments to any countries outside of the UK depending on where the product you have bought is made. Customers are responsible for all taxes and duties incurred when the items enter their country.

Collect in Store or Home Install

At the request of the manufacturer some items cannot be supplied by mail order but you can click and buy them and then elect to collect them from our store or arrange a home install (if applicable). Applicable items clearly state that they are Collect in store or home install. Once ordered you will receive a message prompting you to contact us by phone or email to arrange for us to deliver and install or to reserve and collect from our store at your convenience, you will also be advised of the delivery time / stock availability as not all Home install / collect in store items are held in stock.
