Musical Fidelity M6xTT Turntable

The M6xTT brings Musical Fidelity’s high-end turntable philosophy to a wider audience, offering exceptional performance at a more accessible price point. With its visually striking multi-layer acrylic plinth, complemented by a high-mass aluminum platter and a newly designed 9” tonearm, the M6xTT is a true standout in both form and function.

Precision Engineering

Crafted for superior performance, the M6xTT features a dual-layer acrylic plinth mounted on four height-adjustable magnetic feet. Teflon spacers separate the layers, providing additional resonance control. The top layer houses the main bearing spindle and tonearm mount, ensuring complete isolation from the stand-alone drive motor, which rests on the bottom plinth. This motor is further isolated by a special foam material to prevent any unwanted vibrations. The result is a turntable that virtually eliminates resonance from both external sources and internal components.

Clean Power

The M6xTT’s sophisticated DC-driven AC motor allows for smooth, push-button speed changes between 33 and 45rpm. By incorporating a built-in AC generator, the motor generates its own frequency and voltage, eliminating reliance on external power supplies. This self-contained system contributes to the turntable’s exceptional speed stability and reduced noise.

Speed Stability

The motor is coupled to a heavy, 6.6kg TPE-damped aluminium platter via a single, high-quality drive belt. Without glued joints, this direct connection enhances rotational stability, ensuring precise and consistent performance with every rotation. The high mass of the platter, combined with the premium drive system, delivers exceptional stability for accurate playback.

The Feet

The M6xTT stands on four unique magnetic feet, each crafted from aluminium and damped with TPE for superior isolation. These feet not only support both layers of the acrylic plinth but are also height-adjustable, allowing users to create a perfectly level platform for optimal performance.

The Tonearm

The newly designed 9” tonearm is engineered for ultra-low resonance, featuring a conical aluminium tube and a transparent acrylic bearing ring. Fully adjustable for azimuth and VTA (vertical tracking angle), the tonearm includes two TPE-damped counterweights to accommodate a wide variety of cartridges. For ease of future upgrades, the tonearm connects to the phono stage via a standard 5P DIN cable.

With the M6xTT, Musical Fidelity brings the precision engineering of its flagship models to a broader audience. Drawing inspiration from the high-end M8xTT, the M6xTT combines mass-loaded materials, a decoupled chassis, and a premium tonearm to deliver stunning sound quality and visual appeal. To enhance the listening experience, the turntable comes with a leather platter mat, a heavy aluminum record puck, and a semi-balanced 5P to RCA interconnect cable. A clear acrylic dust cover is available separately.

We endeavour to despatch same day for orders placed up to 1pm on available stock items (items with stock message "Usually dispatched within 24 hours"). Please remember to check with us first for a physical stock check if next day delivery is important to you. Any items with stock message "Usually dispatched within 72 hours" are items that we do not hold in stock but order in from the importer or manufacturer as soon as a customer order is received. Occasionally these may be delayed beyond 72 hours due to importer/manufacturer stock levels but we will inform you as soon as we can if this is the case.

UK Orders

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service – Free of Charge. Non Mainland locations - Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer and are not Free of Charge. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as DPD or UPS.

International Orders

Due to the nature of our products and brand restrictions we are only able to send certain items internationally. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail Small Packets Airmail with International Tracked and/or Signed depending on value of item and availability of the service. Larger International shipments are sent by insured and tracked services using UPS. If there are any delays due to specific customs regulations, etc, you will be contacted by Hifisound or by the courier with a request for any further information required. Customs duties can apply for shipments to any countries outside of the UK depending on where the product you have bought is made. Customers are responsible for all taxes and duties incurred when the items enter their country.

Collect in Store or Home Install

At the request of the manufacturer some items cannot be supplied by mail order but you can click and buy them and then elect to collect them from our store or arrange a home install (if applicable). Applicable items clearly state that they are Collect in store or home install. Once ordered you will receive a message prompting you to contact us by phone or email to arrange for us to deliver and install or to reserve and collect from our store at your convenience, you will also be advised of the delivery time / stock availability as not all Home install / collect in store items are held in stock.
