The Arcam CD25 is a high-performance CD player built on nearly four decades of Arcam digital audio expertise, pairing precision engineering with modern circuit design for exceptional Compact Disc playback. Its dual-mono DAC architecture and low-noise linear power supply deliver a quiet, spacious stereo image with fine musical detail and dynamic contrast, while the vibration-damped disc mechanism and balanced/RCA outputs ensure clean data retrieval and optimal system matching.

Key Features:

  • Dual-Mono DAC Architecture - Independent left and right channel processing delivers superior channel separation, lower noise, and a more precise, spacious stereo image
  • Low-Noise Linear Power Supply - Provides a stable, ultra-quiet electrical foundation, allowing fine musical detail and dynamic contrast to emerge clearly
  • Vibration-Damped Disc Mechanism - Minimises mechanical interference for cleaner data retrieval, improving timing accuracy, clarity, and overall musical coherence
  • Balanced and RCA Analogue Outputs - Ensures optimal system matching, whether using fully balanced Radia Series amplifiers or conventional line-level inputs.
  • ARCAM-Tuned - Combines objective accuracy with musical engagement, ensuring sound quality that is both technically precise and emotionally involving

Nearly Four Decades of Digital Audio Expertise

The Arcam CD25 is the product of nearly forty years of digital audio development, distilled into a CD player that combines precision engineering with modern circuit design. Built to extract every last detail from the Compact Disc format, the CD25 is designed for listeners who want a dedicated, no-compromise physical media source at the heart of their system.

Dual-Mono DAC Architecture

At the core of the CD25 is a dual-mono DAC design, with fully independent left and right channel processing. This separation reduces crosstalk and noise between channels, resulting in superior channel separation and a more precise, spacious stereo image — instruments and voices are placed with greater accuracy across the soundstage.

A Quiet Foundation for Fine Detail

Powering this circuitry is a low-noise linear power supply, chosen over noisier switch-mode alternatives to provide a stable, ultra-quiet electrical foundation. This clean power delivery allows fine musical detail and dynamic contrast to emerge clearly, rather than being masked by electrical interference.

Precision Mechanical Engineering

The CD25's disc mechanism is vibration-damped to minimise mechanical interference during playback. This means cleaner data retrieval from the disc surface, which in turn improves timing accuracy, clarity, and overall musical coherence — the fundamentals that separate a good CD player from a great one.

Flexible Connectivity

To suit a wide range of systems, the CD25 offers both balanced and RCA analogue outputs. This ensures optimal system matching whether you're running fully balanced Radia Series amplifiers or more conventional line-level inputs elsewhere in your chain.

Tuned by Ear, Verified by Science

Every element of the CD25 has been ARCAM-tuned via blind listening tests, combining objective accuracy with musical engagement. The result is sound quality that is both technically precise and emotionally involving — measurable performance in service of real musical enjoyment.

Responsibly Packaged

The CD25 arrives in plastic-free packaging made from natural materials, making disposal easy and reducing environmental impact from the moment it reaches your door.
